See Why President Buhari Will Remain In London For More Than 4 Months

SaharaReporters gathered that the president might need to remain in London for as long as four months to resolve a myriad of medical issues confronting the aging Nigerian leader.

In a letter written to the National Assembly on Sunday, President Muhammadu Buhari expressed his desire to extend his medical leave in London in order to complete his treatment and await the results of his medical tests.

According to their presidency sources, Mr. Buhari requires a major surgery that would force him to miss work for at least four months, but his kitchen cabinet members have refused to let him go for such a prolonged period due to the fear of him losing influence and power.
The extension of his medical leave was announced in a statement issued on Sunday by Femi Adesina, spokesperson to the president.

According to Mr. Adesina, the president had planned to return to Abuja on Sunday evening but was advised to complete the test cycle before returning.

The notice of the extension, he added, has been forwarded to Senate President Bukola Saraki and House Speaker Yakubu Dogara.

Information flying in the social media with regards to the health of President Muhammadu Buhari are quite sensational and inciting, to say the least.
Consequently, the Presidency has reacted to insinuation that Acting President Yemi Osinbajo was being pressured to resign his position.

A statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Political Affairs, Femi Ojudu, said it was not true that Osinbajo was being held hostage by some governors who were said to have demanded his resignation from office.

In the statement titled: “State of the Nation,” Ojudu said VP Osinbajo was on his desk in his office and performing his routine functions having earlier presided over a meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) on Wednesday.

The presidential aide described the claim as ridiculous and urged the people to desist from carrying such fake rumours.

“I have read many ridiculous stories saying the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, is being held hostage by some governors who are trying to compel him to resign.

I thought GEJ’s Leadership was Bad, I was Wrong – Obasanjo

Former president Goodluck Jonathan paid a private visit to former president Olusegun Obasanjo yesterday in Ogun State.

Recall that right before the 2015 general elections, both leaders had had a very frosty relationship.

The height of which was when both wrote open letters to each other accusing themselves of one thing or the other.

Well, OBJ showered praises on former President Goodluck Jonathan for his exemplary leadership.

Both leaders had a closed-door meeting that lasted almost two hours.

It was a sharp contrast from his constant criticism of the former president in the last couple of years.

Jonathan was accompanied by former Minister of Special Duties, Kabiru Turaki as well as other close aides.

Obasanjo spoke to the press after the meeting.

He tasked leaders across the world to learn from the exemplary leadership style of himself and that of Jonathan.

Prophet Olabayo – Nigerians Have Not Seen Anything Yet, Relax Worse Things Are About To Happen Soon {Must Read}

Theophilus Olabayo, the founder and primate of the Evangelical Church of Yahweh Worldwide, has called for a three-day national fasting and prayer to avert an impending “darkness” hovering over the country.

According to Premium Times, Olabayo said religious leaders are no longer able to help salvage the country because a lot of them are after money.

He said: “We have never seen anything. Worse things are about to happen. Famine will be so great , we said we are going into agriculture but it’s not reflecting.

“There is a government that is coming, after that government the country will now be divided along geographical zones.”

The 71-year-old praised President Muhammadu Buhari, describing him as the only Nigerian leader to confront corruption frontally.

“The president has gone on leave, that’s what we were told. He’s a human being. Even if he’s sick, nothing is wrong for him to tell us as a country to pray for him,” he said.

“Whoever wish him dead is an enemy of this country because the man has really tried. First time we saw a man who confronted those looters. And they are not happy, they’re ganging up against him. They are throwing missiles against him.”

“God has allowed Buhari to start the foundation. We need to be prayerful. There is too much blood in the country. He, himself… you know he said that he did not know that the problem was this much, that it was as bad as this before he took over. He has done well. He’s an elderly man, over 70.

Full Details Of How Mrs Rose, 2face Idibia’s Mother Stopped His Planned Protest Against Buhari {Must Read}

A planned march against President Buhari and the state of the nation, was organized by one of Nigeria’s biggest musicians Tuface Idibia and it generated a lot of conflict, online and offline.

According to the announcement made on his Instagram page, the peaceful protest was set to hold on Monday, February 6, 2017 at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

The Lagos state police initially planned to stop the protest, but eventually agreed to let it go on if the protesters were on their best behavior.

Tuface gave some additional instructions:

For those in Lagos, they are to meet at the National Stadium by 8am, while those in Abuja are expected to converge at the Unity Fountain by 9am for the procession.

He also wanted Nigerians to wear “something green” as they press home their demands against the federal government at a time when the masses are perceived to be under serious suffering and deprivation.

However, using his Instagram page, Tuface announced that security concerns have led to the cancellation of the protest.

Although many have reacted to the cancellation and said Tuface was threatened with bodily harm and forced to cancel it. Daily Post reports that an inside source revealed something different.

The Fall Of Buhari And The APC, See Reasons Why He May Not Resume Office Tomorrow {Must Read}

I extend to President Muhammadu Buhari my warmest sympathies on his sick bed.

It is a measure of the fragility of our democracy that an elected president insists on hiding his frailty from the people who are compelled to pay for his treatment abroad.

There is no hiding place in the constitution.

Nonetheless, President Buhari is scheduled to return to Nigeria tomorrow. He will be welcomed with at least one Lagos street protest that the police are trying to muzzle.

That would be another self-inflicted injury, and I urge Acting President Yemi Osinbajo to tell them to back off and go pursue Lagos’ many criminals.

I reiterate that it is a shame and an embarrassment that despite Mr. Buhari’s promises and posturing for many years, he sees no irony in running off to the United Kingdom for his medical needs, leaving behind the nation’s most expensive (and presumably best-equipped) publicly-funded clinic in the presidential palace.

This fact underlines a broader reality. Which is that Buhari’s much-heralded leadership has become a farce, and his ability to make a positive impact on Nigeria, a hoax.

I was one of those who pushed for his presidency. At one level was the mistaken confidence that his age-old claim to being the man best-prepared to stop Nigeria’s slide into oblivion was true.
